A. The Introduction & General Information

As we all know the moment comes when the bride and the groom step together into the hall to perform their first and most important dance – the wedding dance.

So, of course you can just make a 3 or 4 minutes slow dance holding each other tight, but you can also give a show.

We, at “Mystery Productions” have the most personal approach to each couple.

It is important to find the precise balance between the couples desires and capabilities in order to produce the perfect dance.

The classes take place in the studio in Rishon Lezion.
The choreography and the dance lessons are carried out by Olga Reznik, a certified choreographer and jazz dance instructor, a gradute of the  “lehakat ha nahal” ensemble.

B. The Method

It is important to remember that every couple has desires and abilities of its own. Here is a list of the major steps of preparing the wedding dance:

1. Selecting the song/s for the dance:

The couple should choose the style of the dance and the actual song/s. If you have trouble choosing, we'll help you make a decision.

2. Building the Choreography and arranging the music:

The choreography is built according to the desires and capabilities of the couple. At the beginning, the level of the steps is mediocre, later we will decide together whether to simplify or make the level more difficult.

It is possible that we will have to edit the music: to cut certain parts, to prolong others, make transitions between songs, etc. **.

3.  The Dance lessons

Here we go. The couple comes to classes held in the studio in Rishon Lezion. Step by step they begin to learn the dance. This is the place to change, improve and to test yourself. The lessons schedule is fixed by the couple and the choreographer together.   

4. Practicing

 At the final stages we will try the dance with a wedding dress that we have in the studio especially for this purpose; the couple will be required to wear suitable shoes.

To gain the perfect confidence it is possible to have the last lesson in the wedding hall. Anyway, we recommend that you go over the dance once again on the wedding day just before the event. It is important to coordinate your entrance to the hall and the beginning of the dance with the DJ.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

- How do we pay for the classes?

If you go on the single lesson package, the payment is at the end of each lesson. For the unlimited lesson package the price is divided into 5 payments to be paid during the first five lessons. 
 
- Can we pay with credit card?

No. Cash or checks only. 

  - What happens if we make a mistake during the wedding dance?

Well, naturally there is no couple that does not get excited during the dance. They are very few couples that do not make any mistake at all. Just remember it is not a competition, no one is here to judge you but instead to encourage you and to enjoy your performance. No one even knows the steps apart form you and the instructor. If you make a mistake, do not panic; do not even pay attention to it, just go on dancing and enjoying yourself. 

- Are there group lessons to?

No there are not; personal lessons only. The couple and the choreographer. We do not teach general movements of certain style, but teach you to dance your own individual dance. 

- Is it possible to study a dance in a month/month and a half?

The lessons take place at the studio of Mystery Productions which is the  most innovative studio in Israel today. The lessons are intensive and serious. The duration of each lesson is 60 minutes (not the usual 45 minutes). Moreover, you can start learning whenever you want, two, three or even six months before the event.

 
 - Is it necessary to practice the dance at home?

Absolutely. It is important that you practice at home what you learned in the studio, so you can go to the next class better prepared.


- Which dance styles are available?

We combine elements of different techniques depending on the selected music and the couples’ abilities.  

  - How many lessons a week should we take?

We are aware of the fact that many couples are under certain pressure before the event. Nevertheless, we recommend you to take at least two lessons a week, in addition to practicing at home.

 - What happens if we fail to learn the dance at all?

We know that most couples are not professional dancers and/or have a no dancing background at all. Our rich experience in dance teaching helps us to match the capabilities of the couple. The choreography is developed before the beginning of the lessons, and during the first lessons we can simplify the steps or make the dance shorter. The most important thing is not to give up – sooner or later it will come!

- Is there a trial lesson?

As mentioned earlier - we do not teach basic movements, but build a dance especially for you. Therefore, we can not give such a lesson before the dance is built. If you wish to see a lesson - ask our representatives to observe a lesson of a couple that is already studying in the studio.

- If we decide to quit the lessons, do we get all our money back?  

No. The Money for taken lessons can not be paid back; whether you take single lessons or the lessons package.

If you paid for a package and took less than 5 lessons, the payment will be: 

A. Slow Dance – 200 NIS  for each taken lesson.

B. Developing Dance -  260 NIS for each taken lesson

 However, we do not charge you for any cancelled future lessons. 
 
- When should we start learning?

For most couples, we recommend to start the classes a month, or a month and a half before the event. Studies that go on for too long often result in certain tensions, a reduction or lack of interest and are an unnecessary waste of money. So we recommend you start a month or a month and a half before the event so you can get to the wedding day when you are at the peak of your abilities and enthusiasm. 

- What happens if the instructor is sick?

In most cases the instructor should arrive even if she is sick! In extreme cases only, she will be replaced by another instructor from the "Mystery" team who will continue teaching the couple according to the plan that is prepared in advance. 
 

- How do we close the deal?
